The night has a cool feel to it, the ocean is as calm and black as the night sky. As we gracefully untie from the dock it has this eerie feeling of the calm before the storm. It is always so beautiful leaving the dock at night! Sometimes it's just a sheet of glass, sometimes it's the scariest place ever to be. With its big seas and huge wind gusts rocking the boat from side-to-side. You look out the side window and all you see is water and swells taller than your boat. waves over the front of the windshield. Then the next day it is as calm as bathwater and as beautiful as a crystal blue lake.

Oh man this has been a season already! We lost a good man the very first opener, were absolutely heart break on for his family, friends and the entire dive fleet. The storms that we have been having this fall have been some huge ones. We have had to cancel geoduck testing twice due to the weather being so bad.

This has been a lot of change this year, a year of growth a year of acceptance a year of putting all your hopes and dreams aside for others.

Dave and I work on the boat by ourselves this season, rock in out these cold days of diving and tending. We normally have 2 divers, but this is a year of change like I said earlier.

It is a beautiful day today the fog rolled in than left, the sun came out and brought the crips cool air with it today. Dave made his famous chicken and dumplings on Sunday this will be amazing after spending all day on the back deck and him in the water. We do have a special guest on the boat with us this week for I hurt my back last week and was in the ER for several hours after a 5-hour boat ride into town. That was not fun, so I am taking it easy this week since it is a slow week out here.

Until next time, don't forget to stop and smell the salty ocean there is nothing better.

🧜‍♀️❤️
